Michael P. Shea was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. He graduated from the Central Catholic High School in Norwalk. He then received a Baseball Scholarship to attend Valencia Junior College in Orlando, FL. After 2 years at Valencia Junior College, he was offered a scholarship to transfer to Saint Thomas University in Miami, FL where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration.
Michael’s first job, out of college, was as an Operations Supervisor with a nationwide trucking company. After 10 years with the trucking company, he decided to start his own business, as a distributor for Arizona Iced Tea. After years of building the soft drink distribution company, he sold it to pursue other business opportunities.
He then discovered a screen and window repair company, Carbonneau’s Home Repair. It was owned and run by Robert Carbonneau, the original owner, until Michael purchased the company from him. Michael continued to work out of the small shop with the 1 work truck that Robert Carbonneau had acquired over the years.
After 3 years renting at the old Carbonneau’s location, and rebuilding the brand name, Michael purchased a new office and 2 Warehouse spaces in Margate, FL. He then obtained his Glass and Glazing Contractor License (Lic # SCC131151291). This license is a Specialty License that allows Carbonneau’s Home Repair to install; repair; replace doors, windows, and screening. With Michael’s years of experience/knowledge of the products, as well as of the construction industry, he built Carbonneaus Home Repair to become one of the leading window and door companies in Broward and the Tri-County areas.
At Carbonneau’s Home Repair, the business philosophy and the
priorities of Michael and his team are, customer service/customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. We look forward to serving you!
